Its tallest peak is called Kaimaktsalan, meaning “Earth Soft as Cream”.

The hot springs of Pozar are 40km away from Agios Athanasios village. And 25 km from Edessa. Pozar natural spring spots of hot water under the huge trees follow a river into an impressive gorge of natural beauty.
Pozar hot springs are located at an altitude of 390 meters and are created by rain water, fall deep into the ground, where the rain-water is gradually heated and travels back to the earth’s surface enriched with minerals and other elements. The water has a steady temperature of 37 °C and help towards healing health conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, kidney diseases, skin diseases, gynaecological problems and improve the circulation of blood.
Pozar Springs area contain a number of naturally formed swimming pools. The large outdoor pool is ideal for diving during both winter and summer. There are two spas with 48 individual baths, 2 indoor pools and 2 individual steam rooms with capacity of 6 persons. Some of these springs have been renovated, with 6 new individual pools and artificial waterfalls.

Kaimaktsalan Ski Center, Voras Mountain
Mountain Voras, Kaimaktsalan, meaning the Cream Top, is the third highest mountain in Greece, located in the northern part of Pella. The highest peak is Kaimaktsalan is at 2,524 meters. It is covered by forests of oak, beech and pine. In its north side the ski center is located. At the highest peak is a small church, and an old Serbian monument from World War II.
Mount Voras or Kaimaktsalan is 16 km from Agios Athanasios and Domotel Neve. It is usually open from early November to early May. It is known to be one of the few ski centers in Greece with long seasons of snow. Ski slopes are long and for different ski levels. Kaimaktsalan is the most organised winter sports center in Greece. The ski center of Mount Voras attracts friends ski and winter sports in general.
