With Dimitris Katrivesis as Executive Chef, the new hotel places gastronomy at the heart of the guest experience.

Set in the idyllic bay of Koundouros, where the natural beauty of Kea meets the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, Domotel Kea opens its doors, introducing a new approach to hospitality. The new boutique hotel by Domotel Hotels & Resorts combines understated luxury with authentic Cycladic aesthetics, creating a destination where architecture, nature and gastronomy come together in harmony.

At the heart of the hotel is Salt House, the new beach bar & restaurant that aspires to become one of Kea’s leading culinary destinations. Dimitris Katrivesis leads the kitchen as Executive Chef, creating a distinctive culinary concept inspired by the philosophy of coastal fire cooking. Fire is the primary expressive element of the cuisine. Acidity, salt, richness, smoke, sweetness and flavours of the sea revolve around it, while fire is used not as a form of spectacle, but as the essential tool for bringing out the character of each ingredient. With a zero-kilometre approach, Salt House draws inspiration from the ingredients of Kea, the Cyclades and the Aegean. Fish sourced from small fishing boats, local cheeses, legumes, samphire, capers, wild herbs, thyme honey and extra virgin olive oil come together in a cuisine that is simple, seasonal and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Among the standout dishes are fish carpaccio with samphire and wild herbs, ash-roasted aubergine with Kea honey and fried capers, charcoal-grilled octopus with spicy cheese spread and burnt onion, oysters with cucumber, seawater and charred lemon, charcoal-grilled langoustines and the catch of the day cooked over the grill. The dishes are designed for sharing, embracing the philosophy of the Greek table as a place of gathering and togetherness. Flavours naturally follow the rhythm of the day, while dinner unfolds at the same unhurried pace that defines summer in the Cyclades. A carefully curated selection of Greek and international wines, together with signature cocktails inspired by the Aegean, completes the experience.

Domotel Kea features 16 elegant rooms and suites, designed with natural materials, earthy tones and unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea, while selected categories also offer private jacuzzis. The architecture follows the natural contours of Kea, creating spaces that convey a sense of tranquillity and authenticity. With its opening, Domotel Kea enriches the portfolio of Domotel Hotels & Resorts and introduces a new hospitality concept to the Cyclades, where contemporary aesthetics, elevated gastronomy and the philosophy of slow living come together to create a complete Greek summer experience.
