{"id":321,"date":"2025-04-18T11:48:44","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T08:48:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/domotel.gr\/golden-milos-beach-house\/information-for-prospective-employees\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T12:57:36","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T09:57:36","slug":"privacy-notice-for-candidates","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/domotel.gr\/golden-milos-beach-house\/privacy-notice-for-candidates\/","title":{"rendered":"Privacy Notice for Candidates"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 fusion-flex-container nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"max-width:calc( 100% + 0px );margin-left: calc(-0px \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-0px \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:0px;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-spacing-right-medium:0px;--awb-spacing-left-medium:0px;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-spacing-right-small:0px;--awb-spacing-left-small:0px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p><b>INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA OF EMPLOYEE CANDIDATES <\/b><\/p>\n<p>With this Notice, the hotel chain \u00abDOMOTEL HOTELS &amp; RESORTS\u00bb, (hereinafter the &#8220;Company&#8221;) aims to inform prospective employees about the processing of their personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016\/679(EU), Law 4624\/2019, the Decisions, Directives, and Opinions of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, and in general the national and union legislation and case law for the protection of personal data (hereinafter as &#8220;Existing Legislation&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>This Notice concerns and applies to the personal data of prospective employees in the context of submitting resumes to find employment with the Company, either electronically or in physical form at the Company&#8217;s headquarters.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>DEFINITIONS<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>&#8220;Data Controller&#8221;<\/b>: The natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and manner of processing personal data, namely in this case the Company.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<b>Processing<\/b>\u2019: means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction, whether these are in electronic or in printed form.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u2018Personal Data\u2019<\/b>: means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier (such as e.g. an IP address, cookies) or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u2018Sensitive Personal Data\u2019 (or \u2018Special Categories of Personal Data\u2019)<\/b>: personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a person, data concerning health, or data concerning a natural person&#8217;s sex life or sexual orientation.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><b>WHAT PERSONAL DATA DOES THE COMPANY PROCESS\n<p><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>With the prospect of future cooperation in mind, the Company collects personal data of candidates such as name, surname, father&#8217;s name, mother&#8217;s name, marital status, date and place of birth, ID card\/passport number, nationality, gender, telephone number, email, professional capacity, professional experience, degrees, certifications, military service status, as well as other personal details of the candidates included in resumes and expressions of interest that are sent\/submitted to the Company. The Company does not seek to collect sensitive personal data during the evaluation stage of prospective employees.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b>PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA\n<p><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The purpose of processing the personal data of prospective employees is to evaluate their suitability for a specific job position. The legal basis for processing the personal data of prospective employees is the Company&#8217;s legitimate interest in hiring the appropriate employee for each job position. When prospective employees send their resumes or personal information to the Company on their own initiative, without the Company having announced a specific open job position, the candidates provide their consent for the processing of their data, in accordance with the provisions of the current legislative framework.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b>SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA\n<p><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Taking into account the state of the art, the cost of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing as well as the risks of varying likelihood and severity for the rights and freedoms of employees, the Company implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the appropriate level of security, integrity, and confidentiality of employee personal data, in accordance with Existing Legislation.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, the Company has adopted Policies and Procedures for the protection of personal data and has implemented significant information protection measures, which include secure storage and operating environments, classified access, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The Company may transfer the personal data of candidates to its competent staff, to other hotels in the DOMOTEL HOTELS &amp; RESORTS chain (namely DOMOTEL Kastri, DOMOTEL Olympia, DOMOTEL Xenia Volos, DOMOTEL Arni, DOMOTEL Neve, DOMOTEL Anemolia, DOMOTEL Agios Nikolaos) depending on the needs that arise in each of them, or to third parties to whom it has assigned the processing of personal data on its behalf. In any case, the third parties to whom candidate data may be transferred are contractually bound to the Company to ensure the required obligation of confidentiality as well as all obligations stipulated by the Existing Legislation. Under no circumstances will the Company transfer your personal data to unauthorized third parties, nor to countries\/organizations outside the EU\/EEA.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b>PLACE AND TIME OF RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA\n<p><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The personal data of candidates are kept in the Company&#8217;s database as well as in a physical file for a period of 12 months from their receipt from each candidate, provided the Company does not proceed with their hiring. In the event a candidate is hired, the retention period for employee personal data is defined in the &#8220;<i>Notice on the processing of personal data of the Company<\/i>&#8221; which is sent to every employee of the Company.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><b>RIGHTS<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>According to the Existing Legislation, employees have and can exercise the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to access and information, to receive information from the Company about the personal data it processes and to receive a copy thereof.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to rectification, that is, to request the correction and\/or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data held about them.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to erasure (&#8220;right to be forgotten&#8221;), that is, to request the erasure of their data, provided that the Company holds it without any legal basis for processing.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to restriction of processing, provided that one of the conditions of Article 18 of the GDPR is met.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to data portability, that is, to request the provision of their data in a structured, commonly used and readable format, or to request the transmission of these to a third party.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to object to the processing of their personal data, including objection to automated decision-making and profiling.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Right to withdraw their consent (only for processing for which consent could be considered to be freely given as above).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the event of exercising one or more of the aforementioned rights, the Company will ensure to respond promptly and, in any case, within one (1) month at the latest from the submission of the request and the identification of the requester. This deadline may be extended by two (2) more months, if necessary, should the request be complex or if there is a large number of requests.
